October 10, 2025, Supai Technology unveiled its revolutionary material “Sahara Sufi” at the Fourth Mountain Future International Conference. Derived from the Saharan fruit plant at the edge of the Sahara Desert, this wool fiber boasts an 85% hollow fiber rate and natural antimicrobial properties. Offering superior warmth to cashmere while being 70% lighter, it has been hailed by international experts as the “King of Plant Fibers.” Its cultivation process restores desertified land, sequesters 20 tons of carbon per ton of fiber over its entire lifecycle, and creates green jobs for local African communities. Sahara Sufi scarf samples sparked intense discussion at the conference, with their 75-gram ultra-lightweight design breaking through technical limitations of traditional cashmere products. The material has obtained EU Oeko-Tex certification and is slated to enter Europe's premium outdoor market in Spring 2026. Supai Technology's “Beneficent Fiber” concept emphasizes materials must simultaneously fulfill user value, environmental improvement, and social equity—a philosophy receiving special endorsement from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
